Cyberhomes and AOL
I wrote a piece a while back about a cool home valuation website called Cyberhomes. They are Fidelity’s answer to Zillow. Anyway, AOL has just recently announced a partnership with Cyberhomes whereby Cyberhomes will provide exclusive valuation information to AOL’s real estate portal.
I love both of these tools for checking on Denver real estate values. They’re truly a great place to start your search. And to be honest, they have great recently sold information in a much more user-friendly interface than the local MLS providers. Now, I still use the MLS providers for the most up to date information, but to get a quick picture nothing beats Cyberhomes and Zillow.
I wonder what this partnership means for those of us who are Cyberhomes fans? Will Cyberhomes provide an API similar to the ones that Zillow provides to webmasters? It remains to be seen.
One thing is for certain: Fidelity is not playing around here. They are in the home valuation game for the long haul. It’s shaping up to be an interesting battle between the oddly named Cyberhomes, and the uber-popular Zillow.
